Set in a rich fantasy world inhabited by wizards, elves, dwarves, and other mythical beings, the game centers around a renowned tabletop strategy game called Arliths, played across all regions. In this universe, Arliths are magical figurines used in a competitive and strategic board game. The player's ultimate goal is to defeat the five formidable Tavern Masters and earn a place in the prestigious Arliths World Tournament.
The adventure begins in a humble town where the player, equipped with a limited and basic set of Arliths, must challenge and overcome increasingly difficult opponents. As the journey unfolds, players will collect, upgrade, and customize their Arliths, progressively building a stronger team.
The core gameplay is inspired by tactical board games. Each match takes place on a 4x4 magical grid, where players strategically place their Arliths. Each figurine occupies one tile and features distinct stats and directional attacks or blocks.
The match ends when no more Arliths can be placed, and the player who controls the most figures on the board is declared the winner. Control is determined not just by placement, but also through strategic combat resolved with a dice-based system involving attack and defense stats.
The game integrates roguelike elements, with each playthrough, or "run”, introducing randomized challenges and encounters. Players begin each run with a basic set of Arliths and progressively expand and improve their collection through exploration, victories, and special events.
This progression is modeled after deck-building mechanics, similar to titles like Slay the Spire. Instead of cards, players build a figurine roster, choosing which Arliths to keep, enhance, or discard. No two runs are alike, ensuring high replayability, strategic depth, and meaningful decisions at every stage.
