In the tabletop game, each player has a number of miniature figures called Arliths, each with a base that allows them to be placed on the magical board. The board is a 4x4 grid.
Arliths:
Arliths can Attck or Block in four possible directions: Up, Down, Left, Right.
Some Arliths can attack or block in more than one direction or none at all.
Each Arlith has a certain damage and defense stat.
Once an Arlith is placed it will attack automatically if there’s an enemy Arlith in any of his attacking directions.
If an Arlith is blocking towards the attacking Arlith, it will not recieve any damage.
If an Arlith has 2 or more attack directions, it will attack to all the possible directions consecutively in this order: Up, Left, Right, Down.
The success of an attack is determined by a dice-based probability system. Both the attacking and defending Arliths roll a number of dice equal to their respective stats: the attacker rolls dice equal to their Attack, and the defender rolls dice equal to their Defense. The side with the higher total wins. If the sum of both throws is the same, the arlith is not captured. For example: If an Arlith with 3 Attack attacks one with 2 Defense, the attacker rolls 3 dice and the defender rolls 2. If the sum of the attacker’s dice is greater than the defender’s, the attacker wins the clash and defeats the defender.
When an Arlith is defeated, it becomes part of the side that defeated it.
Each Arlith has can have a unique skill that affects the gameplay.
The skill is represented with an icon in a crystal.
